Ok, my girlfriends 92 accord LX (with 313k miles!) randomly either dies on her at a stop, or just won't turn on at all. Now, I haven't seen this occur (of course), but she says it turns over just fine, it just doesn't start. Now I've been trying to start it off and on all day in intervals of 2-3 hours with not luck. I drove it around for 15 minutes or so around the neighborhood and I noticed it was overheating when I got back. Other than this, I can't get it to fail. I listened to the fuel pump and it sounds strong, although I know its not a sufficient test but its all I can go by. Any suggestions?

When it shut off while she was driving, she only made it a mile or 2 and it died when she was trying to take off from a red light. I drove it 5 miles around the neighborhood with no problems. The car runs quite well, actually. Slightly confused.
