OT: What alternator belt for inline 4/CTR N1 crank pulley?
1. what size or part number belt do i use for the inline 4/CTR N1 crank pulley. i bought the one from inlinefour.com and i have a b20b bottem end with itr head. so the question is what alternator belt do i need to use with this pulley? the one i have now seems a bit too big.
thanks for the help in advance. this board is really knowledgable

I just recieved a CTR N1 pulley... I thought the alternator ring would be the same diameter as stock. This isn't true? So it's smaller? Now I'm getting worried because my alternator pulley is already oversized and I don't think I want to change the ratio much more for fear of lack of charge.
all i know is that mine is too long now. i bought a pulley from inlinefour.com which supposedly makes a copy of the n1 pulley and still retains the factory dampner which it does. i got the pulley in the mail, and the dampner is there and the pulley is definitely lighter. scale says 2.3lbs lighter than my stock b20b pulley. my belt is too long though. i guess i will try a couple belts. there is an old topic on this in which some said a TL power steering belt is what to use but i dont know, havent put a belt on the pulley yet. sackdz let me know if you find anything out as well.
the N1 is smaller than all other stock Bseries pullies...

It is smaller then the B20 pulley, but should be the same size as any other b motor.
If it is smaller then say a gsr or type r...well that would make sense, since it would work to underdrive your alternator.
How are you supposed to hold this pulley now that they grinded the hex out of it though?

but is the alternator ring actually smaller in diameter then stock B series?
I remember Mike K had a part # for an OEM belt. Don't remember it though.
Has anyone used this with the AEM underdrive alternator pulley? Somthing tells me I won't even be able to listen to the radio.

I have one of these for sale if anyone is interested. Its not a N-1 pulley, It is a stock pulley that has been machined into a single rib pulley that has had 2lbs removed and has been balanced but still retains the factory dampner inside.
