Default Shuriken Batteries

Anyone used Shuriken batteries before in car/race car?

They have a 7.5x6.5x3 12v 850 cranking amps battery and they seem to be priced really well.

Im looking at the SK-BT20

the pc680 is a little smaller than the shuriken so it might not fit in the pc680 bracket....are you talking about the one from password? maybe they make it slightly larger than the battery ?

You could get this and cut it and space it to make it fit the shuriken.

So you guys think this battery would hold up to daily use with a K swapped EG?

I have used a lawnmower battery that never once gave me problems in a different setup. My battery has started leaking acid and it is eating up my battery hold-down. I need to get something different because it continues to do it.

Do you need to do anything special with these batteries when you run them? Like trickle charge them while the car sits? Or do they just run like a stock battery?

Like a normal battery...

Any battery that is going to sit in a non running car for a while should be trickled or disconnected or both.

You can buy the SAE terminals just like the OEM ones separately. Spoolin, to answer your question, Yes this battery rock It only takes me maybe 1 second or less to start a turbo hatch.

Yes it will fit. I have 2 of those battery tray from Odessey and the Shuriken bt20 will fit in there. It's pretty much the same size battery. I have 2 PC 680 Odessey and 1 Shuriken bought at the same time. The reason why I bought 3 brand new battery? Here's what happened: Other shop that was working on this car before I got it, wired the fuel pump straight to the fuse box and the pump was draining the battery bone dry. I would leave the car for maybe 2-3 days w/o starting it and by the time I wanted to start the car, the battery is dead, Dead where you can't even charge it anymore. The cranking amp were so low that putting it on a charger, and the battery just don't want to get charge. I went through 3 brand new batteries before I found out why a brand new battery would become dead in 2-3 days.
So make sure to either disconnect your possitive cable off your battery, or put a cutoff switch. Do this specially if you have the fuel pump wired directly to the fuse box. It may not be the case if your pump is wired like stock. I hope this help some of you guys. By the way, I bought my Shuriken battery from Sonicelectronix.com for $69.99 and they offer 3 year replacement warranty for like $7.00 and I jump on that. Now, the battery that I bought from them I returned it and they gave me a brand new one.
