06 Odyssey Automatic Locking Doors?
Hello, new to this forum.
My wife and I just bought a used 06 odyssey EX-L and was wondering if it had automatic locking doors at a certain speed.
As I accelerate, at about 20 km/h I hear what sounds like an actuator or something, however the doors don't lock. The rest of my power locks and sliding doors work just fine.
Any ideas?

I personally dont deal with newer vehicles but it does sound like your automatic door lock is not properly functioning although I would think that if the lock did not actually lock, then I would think that the computer would continue to attempt to lock the door a few tries before giving up, I have seen this scenario on an older Toyota.
If you hold your finger on the lock lever at 20 kph, can you feel a motion of any kind on the lever when you hear the noise. There is some slop built into the linkage so you may no feel anything, removing the door panel is the next step and get eyes on while someone is driving.

That's the thing, is there actually supposed to be an auto lock function? The doors all normally lock with the keyless remote, or the power door lock buttons, just not automatically at 20 km/h. Is there a way to program the function?
Hooligan,
I also purchased a 2006 Odyssey EX-L earlier this year and it does not have auto-locking doors. I would bet that what you're hearing is the ABS self-check. It's a small scraping or grunting noise a few seconds after you take off. (so that would probably be around 20 mph)
The only reason that I know this is because I had to search to figure it out because it was driving me crazy. You can find additional information by searching for Odyssey ABS self-check.
Hope this helps.

A noise that you may be hearing after moving the vehicle above a certain speed may be the ABS pump pressurizing the system. If the system has a small pressure leak it may be so small that the ECM does not throw a code to tell you that there is a leak so its of no concern, again, this is a possibility. You would have to see what scenario makes that noise, such as, everyday after the car sat all night, leaked out some pressure, drive to 15 KPH and then you hear a noise. Tomorrow, pull the fuse for the pump motor, start the car, drive over 15 KPH, no noise, the noise was the pump.
