The SICC Drag Series was created in mid 2010 with the idea to provide a place for enthusiasts to race their vehicles and car show participants to display their cars. There has been a great amount of support thus far for the series. The SICC Drag Series owners and staff are happy to see that support from the fans, racers and car show participants. The SICC organization originally came up with a 3 race campaign which would take place in 3 different geographic locations which were North Carolina, Maryland and Georgia. There have been a good amount of enthusiasts that have expressed their feelings in regards to the 3 race event series. We have seen many that would like to run the series. However, some participants have shown that the current scheduling makes it difficult to make it out to each event with their current schedules being locked for 2010. This could potentially hurt those involved in running for the points chase as they look to obtain the coveted championship belt. Therefore we have decided to change our scheduling to only include one race event for 2010.
The August 8th event at Capitol Raceway in addition to the November 19th - 20th event at South Georia Motorsports park will both be canceled. We will be running the North Carolina event which will be held on Saturday September 11th, 2010. This will be a one day event, winner takes all. The SICC Drag Series staff will be looking to reevaluate the 3 event schedule during the coming off season in hopes to make it more achievable for a majority of the racers and fans involved. We do appreciate your patience and understanding in regards to this matter as we feel this decision was made in order to better the sport which we love.
The next stop for the Sportsman Import Compact Championship will be on September 11th, 2010 at Fayetteville Motorsports Park. Thank you again to all supporters of SICC Drag Racing. We truly appreciate your support.

quite a few of us on here have been re evaluating our setups and such trying to get ready and stay competetive for this race and others, im kinda bummed the GA race wont be happening as I think that will be a large turnout
NC aint that far from GA. I came up from Ft.Lauderdale. Its not that bad of a drive.
Ill be coming back up in Sept, and possibly with some grudge bikes to play. Yall should try and make it out.

I am going to try and make it to this race. Not racing unfortunately, just spectating.
So what are the payout's set at for each class? And will they depend on car count? Assusiming they depend on car count can you give me a break down of each for say real street
so is x72 really going to be the only class that weighs as much as a pig while even the street class weighs 2400 lbs???
