as the title says... Sorry if it's an obvious question but I have no experience with ITR's. And I searched but didn't find the answer I wanted.

JDM OBD2a P73 going into 97 USDM ITR. If this doesn't work, what do I have to do to make it work?

Assuming no one has ever ****ed with the car in some bizzare way.

I am fairly certain no JDM DC2R's had immob. and that would be the only thing that would screw you.

Though if you have any smog testing to deal with, the ecu will not be able to link up with usdm OBD diagnostic port.

no one has given wrong advice in this thread, plug it in and drive

just for others who dig this thread up, the jdm ecus will only be a direct plug in the 97-98 itr

 

Are you suggesting that JDM Integras didn't see the switch to OBD-IIb style plugs?

 

As everyone else has stated it will plug n play ... Will not be able to read at the DEQ station cause different emissions in the US THEN IN JAPAN . So it wont read on the diagnostic system they use at DEQ . It also has a different fuel air curve ratio as well but other then that exact same ecu.

fuel/ign tables are very close to the USDM tables.
I ran my stock '00 USDM C5 on the JDM P73-023 for quite a while and never had any problems. Then again IL doesn't have emissions testing for OBD1 cars.
