running jdm itr motor on p73 ecu

im just wondering if any you know if this works.... a 96 jdm itr motor runing an obd2 p73 ecu, should i swap out the ecu for a itr one?

Use a rechipped P28.

I'm not sure what your question means.

A 96 JDM ITR (96 SpecR) uses a OBDII P73 ECU.

The plugs are OBDII, the program is OBDI.

I have a 96 SpecR P73 ecu running my 98 GSR swap in a 96 CX and everthing plugs up and runs fine.

Chipped P28 will need an OBDII to OBDI ecu jumper harness.
