i love pike's peak in gt2.

 

Great video. That dude has ***** of steel to drive that car the way he did. Kissing the warning track at 100mph with a 2000ft drop just inches away...yea, ***** of steel. Its crazy to think the XL7 HCS(Escudo Pikes Peak in GT2/3) did it in over a minute faster than that. Ill bet the onboard camera for that one would be insane.

He did that without a co-driver? Insanity. I don't know who has bigger *****, him or the spectators standing on the outside of the corners.

And, WOW, he downshifts like I only would in Gran Turismo. Definitely mech' over-reved it a few times.

 

Yea, how about the guy with his beach chair sitting on the inside of a turn directly on the apex? If the driver wouldnt have corrected he wouldve creamed the dude...or atleast his beautiful fold out chair lol

Pikes Peak is CRAZY! The car setup I'm sure is interesting. Also how do they get back to the pits and their team? Is there a service road? Oh yeah and whats the elevation change, start to finish?

 

I think it's over 5000 feet difference. There is only one road to the top of the mountain. I drove up the mountain two weeks before the race and there were snow banks at the top and it snowed on the way down.

 

That was overwhelming! Couple of times there he almost didn't make it. I've been up Pike's Peak and those drop offs are staggering.
