92 prelude last night the gas/temp gauges had red stripes going across them and today on the way home from work the inside of my dash from that area started smoking a little and the actual gages are starting to fade out and still had the red stripes again.

 

It's a common thing with the 4th gen prelude, the digital cluster that has the temp/fuel burns out with age. Just search around on the net, you should be able to pick one up used.

 

oh ok that doesnt sound bad. does it make a pop when they burn out completely? almost like it blew a fuse
