Default Cheap Light track wheels

for my 91 CRX. i was initially looking at the 15x7 +42 TR Motorsports C1 weighing in at 12.8lbs. and they are dirt cheap at 89/ea. looks are OK.

ive been considering a different wheel. maybe a Konig wheel. are the heliums still a bad decision for track use? i know some guys were cracking them a while back, but not sure if konig changed the wheels at all.

looking for something cheap no more than say 450 bucks and must be 15x7 +38/+42ish. also dont want a heavy wheel, no more than 14lbs or so. the TRs are considerably lower at about 380 shipped. but id spend a little more on a lighter and/or stronger and/or better looking wheel.

car is red, wheels will be gold (doesnt have to come that way, i planned on painting the C1's) if anyone cares. what do you guys think? suggestions on a wheel that would suit my criteria?

User bokals on here recently picked up a set of the C1s. They were lighter than I expected, I'd probably choose them for a 15x7 if I was in the market.

slips are 13lbs for 15x7. One of the lightest rotas. RPF1/bbs/ssr etc are lighter but are a lot more money.

I would say 6ul too but the price range listed is a little above for 949 rims....I want to switch to those myself but the k1s are great.

Hmm. You're right, they're a little more than I expected ($460/set before shipping). I guess I got lucky when I ordered mine a few years ago

Tr's look better than I thought they would on a hb.

K1s and 6ul are not that much more than the tr's.

hmm the 6ULs are ok. not sure how they look on a car though. and they are a little more than i want to spend right now.

so im between the slips and the TR. still leaning toward TR since they are lighter and cheaper.

bokals, your pic wasnt showing up before, but i see it now. what offset is that? is that the +42 that TR lists for our vehicles? or is that the +30 or +25 that you can get from other applications?

35 and 25 Offset isn't available for Hondas, Thats a Miatia bore, Unless you bore it to out you can't use those wheels. I'm using 15x7 +42.

I'm pretty sure only the c1m is miata hub centric. The regular c1, although listed for miatas, come with hub centering rings so you should be able to use them on a Honda without the rings. And they have lower offset fitments for the BMW e30 which will fit our cars too.

But i like that +42. Should give little fitment issues and still looks good.

I recently bought the TR motorsports wheels my self.
15x8 +20 Front
15x7 +25 Rear

I know they're a budget wheel but I personally think they are a very good wheel. Especially since if I mess one up they're $80 to replace.

i prefer old BMW wheels, and 14'' IT-car castoff R comps. been working well for a couple years! haha

i liked how the wheels looked on your car bokals. nice setup. i wondered what they were.cool
