Integra Type R front Shocks, HELP
i have a 2001 PY type r, all stock and the drivers side front shock has blown out, i am looking for a replacement and all the shocks for sale at , pep boys, kragen, autozone, are not for the Type R.... What is the difference between the the type R shock and the rest of the integra shocks? Thanks
i'm in south orange county and i have some for sale in the ITR classifieds section above.
ITR shocks are the best stock shock made for a DC2. as far as specific technicalities, maybe others can chime in.

all integra front shocks are the same on the outside, like if you just need a replacement shock, get one for an integra it will fit fine, itr's shocks are just valved differently for the itr springs and suspension
if you were worried about performance you wouldnt be buying shocks from pepboys
if you want to do it right, get some koni yellows

lol. Either buy OEM shocks from the Acura dealer or upgrade and get Koni Yellows. I can't believe you're looking at pepboys for shocks for an Integra Type R.
And FWIW, replace both front shocks at the same time. Don't just do one.

your keeping your stock itr springs?
trust us, get the koni yellows, best for the money, and have free replacement if anything goes wrong with them

You can't go wrong with either option, but for simplicity (not having to deal with adjusting the damper to match the spring rate, since that's the real point of adjustable dampers), the Bilstein Sports are the clear winner.
I have the Bilstein Sports on all four corners of my ITR (and also my GS-R and NSX), and I'm very happy with them. They give nice handling on the track, and nice ride comfort on the street. And they're not particularly expensive, either.
koni yellows or even koni reds if you're just using itr springs.
bilsteins are really nice too.
and you can pick my stock itr shocks up for cheap ;p
