looking for a good size of tire for 14" MR5's for an EG, its not going to be slammed, but correct fitment, and functional for daily driving. I'm wanting to run Toyo Proxes R888's on them.

The R888 is an R compound track tire. It's a good choice for track use, but I do not recommend them for street use, for many reasons (they wear quickly, they are very expensive, and they don't grip until they get hot, which they will probably never do on the street).

If this is for street use, there is one really, really sticky street tire available in 185/60-14. It's the Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec. $96/tire at the Tire Rack.

 

Kelly Chargers used to be 205/14... don't remember the sidewall number. I had a set, best tires I've ever owned. Ziex 205's suck. Both were about $45 to 50 a piece when I bought them. Ziex 4 years ago, Kelly's about 2.
