I would like to know this as well. I just bought 2 97 Accords that I will be making one good daily driver into so I dont have to drive my S2000 around every day. But good luck in finding out what is wrong. Im going to subscribe and hopefully your question is answered soon.

If your not getting spark, first thing to check would be all of your ground wires. Make sure they are clean and tight, remove any paint or corrosion that could cause any resistance. Also make sure that the engine wire harness/ECU ground (G101) is connected to the end of the intake manifold and it has a good clean connection.

I don't mean to belittle you but are the engines that you are swapping the same, aside from OBD?
F22B2 to F22B2 (non VTEC) or
F22B1 to F22B1 (VTEC)

i checked the grounds they are good..... i realized the 94 motor does not have a crank sensor, so im hoping if i swap that over that will do the trick.

Both the crank sensor and the top dead center sensors are in the distributor for the OBD1 94-95 Accord. They are mounted on the oil pump housing on the OBD2 96-97. You will have to do a swap in order for them to work. Ether swap the OBD2 wires up to the OBD1 distributor or swap out the OBD1 oil pump housing & sensors with the OBD2 oil pump housing.

omg...nobody told me how hard it would be to switch the crank sensor......that fricken crank pully bolt is a ******..........my impact wrench is not strong enough. i saw a trick on youtube on how to get it off by attaching a tire iron or a breaker bar and 19mm and hitting the turning over the starter a few times. it acts as a big impact wrench. but the old blown block that is sitting on my garage floor is a little more tricky to get out...... i would almost rather swap engines again than deal with this pully and harmonic balancer.

You need the crank pulley tool and two long breaker bars. Most impact wrenches don't have enough sustained pressure to break the initial bond due to the hammer type action. it requires a few hundred sustained human pounds on her to break her loose.

The engine on the ground should be easier to break the bolt loose as you have easier access to put some weight and leverage on the pulley and bolt.

Aside from the crank bolt I found working on my Accord easier than working on my 78' Camaro. I broke way too many rusty bolts on the old Rotmaro...

Good luck with your swap
