CRX won't start
Yesterday, my 90 CRX quit starting. The starter won't kick. Tested the starter at the local auto parts store and it worked fine there. The battery has 12.4V, and it measured the same from the battery to the starter. Checked the starter signal fuse and its fine. Any ideas?
My car started doing the same ****. I tested the signal wire and i was only getting 6v to the wire not really sure what is or whats doing it and I tested everything on that circuit. So I just ran new a wire to a realy and put in a push button and no more problems.
Your wire probably just had internal corrosion on the wire. It can drop the other 6v just from resistance (amperage) being pulled from corrosion. This guy most likely has the same problem, he just had to find out if it's the control or feed circuit.
today i found half of a rubber stopper on the driver's side floor. and the problem and solution became immeadately clear. The stopper for the clutch interlock switch had broken off. after a quick stop at the parts counter of the dealership its running great again.
