Just finished replacing the clutch in my 87 crx si. Ive tried all i can to get the transmission fill plug off, but so far no luck.I was curious if there was anywhere else i could fill the tranny, so that i can get it to a shop to get the frozen fill bolt repaired? Thanks in advance, Rodney

 

Take an axle out & use that hole. If can be done safely lift the side of the car with the axle removed an inch or two higher to get some more fluid in there. <If not, don't use 5th gear until you know enough fluid is in there. The axles are lower than the fill hole, but not much. I would still hesitate to use 5th until I knew how much was in there..

 

thats what i ended up doing. gonna take it down to speedee lube or something tomorrow. thanks for the advice!!

 

you could also pull the speedo cable and fill through there.
