anybody know of any good cams that makes cams for my d16y7sohc1.6 ?

 

Cower makes a good cam for the D17Y7 engine.

I heard a CRX si cam it's bigger than the D16y7 cam and it works with that engine too.

U might wanna search there was some topics about this a lil while ago.

 

but other then that... there is no cams that r just straight aftermarket that will work on my d16y7

but there is a draw back they are regrinds, meaning you give them your stock one and the regrind it......meaning the valve geometry is alittle different.....sometimes leadin to premature valve train wear

rather than all the lucky B series people that get New blank cores and are machined to specs.....

HOLY ****! i never knew somebody that did that much **** to a dx? that is freaking awesome? is it done almost? if so whats the times? cuz **** thats alot of crap... also when u said u had DC sports header on there... how did u get that to work on ur d16y7? cuz i know its only for EX only? and si? but crap dude... that is freaking sweet... its about time somebody built up a dx... damn dude i wish i could live close to u... to see ur car... that is kick ***. so hks turbo... sweet... thats what im planning on getting. how u like it? did it come with the complete kit. or just the turbo by itself? well anyways... talk 2 u latez... peace.

 

well thanks, umm ok about the header....the engines are the same, but the only thing thats different is that your catalitic converter is in the stock exhaust manifold....so you have to purchase another cat and have it put inline on your exhaust.....you tell a muffler shop that they will understand.....but yeah its just an ex header....

as far as almost being done, yes and no....still waiting on the piping for the turbo, it was not a kit just all parts, so i am making my own piping...just takes time.

the HKS GT turbos are bad ***....ball bearing, good trims, so far i have been happy with it just staring at it, but they are expensive.

Yeah this DX project has been a 3 year project because no one builds them...everyone just blows them off....

dont underestimate the power of the DX
