What exhaust should i get for my 00 Si?
I've been looking into exhaust systems and I'm kinda torn on what i want.
I'm looking to spend around 500 and the two systems i like best in that region are the DC system or the Greddy. I've already got DC headers, and the DC system is usually priced at around 415. can i have some input here?

hmm...i'm not in the honda scene anymore just for moral support for every honda owner out there haha. had my shares with hondas all my life and moved on to something better. but a buddie of mines bought a dc exhaust for his SI and it sounded like crap with the dc header. HKS carbon and the apexi n1's they sound really good and not like an exhaust with bees in it haha
haha i'll look into that. one of my friends had an apexi n1 and that thing was louder than F*CK. i think she got pulled over just because about 3 times a day. as for the HKS i havent really looked at that, but then again all i really know is that i dont be one of the dumbasses that spends 40 dollars just to get a muffler so that its louder, but sounds like crap.

there the best 2 ever to go with...its loud but its better than sounding like having bees in your exhaust!
Hi. The dcsport header 4-2-1 is a very good choice, more power in all the power band and it might be the cheapest one. The 4-2-1 do not have cleareance problems. Most 4-1 headers have cleareance problems and mid range loss ( torque ). Good selection, because most honda headers do NOT increase power and may hurt torque in the low rpms ( 1-5 lbs/ft ). You may see a article in a past issue of the Car Proyect Magazine witha CRX B16 engine.
In the exhaust system look for a 2 1/4" down pipe. All good exhaust system gives about the same performance. Pay atention to details like performance cats and free flow mufler. This is a much of a personal choise because its about exhaust sound ( tone )
Later if you look for a free flow intake system AEM Cold Int System might be the best choise, a free flow filter do not increase power by itself (dyno test), the secret is to draw cold air in the engine.

I would recommend piecing together an exhaust, Its a lot cheaper and you can make it sound like you want, with whatever size you decide. I love my vibrant street power muffler, check out the website. http://www.vibrantperformance.com/

I've already got an AEM cold air, love it.

Vibrant doesnt make the streetpower for my model, do you know anything about the TPV series?

Not the streetpower system, just the muffler and then buy a piping kit from k teller or where ever you so choose. I have Kteller 3inch piping,, vibrant res and streetpower muffler and its only been 400 and if you can weld you can save even more.
I think I got mine from a different vendor for like $400, but I can't remember who it was. Apexi raised their prices a bit on them in the past year.
EDIT: I got mine from this guy, but he wants $504 shipped now: http://hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=1817892

Just like stated, goto VRS exhaust and get a kit, find whatever resonator and muffler combo u want and save you some $$.
unless your one of the kids that likes to point out whatever brand u wasted your money on for the purpose of telling your friends u have WS2 or greddy this or buddy club that.
theyre all overpriced tubing and do not create power as advertised. If you really want to learn about how exhaust theory works, read this, then decide:

If you are looking for good sound quality and not some ricer sounds or a coffee can muffler, you don't want to just go out and buy any piping. Name brand may be a bit more expensive, but it will sound a whole lot better. EsotericImage is right, most exaust systems are over priced and not worth it like the WS2 and any Greddy exhaust really. But i beg to differ about the Buddy Club.
I dont like how much exhuasts cost.
Apexi ws2= sex or if you can find a greddy spectrum elite or greddy sp2(discontinued) exhaust. When I have the funds I will be getting a ws2 for my EM1
WS2 is pretty quiet. seems to me like it would barely be less restricting on the exhaust than stock. hell, i would argue that the stock Si exhaust is almost as loud as the WS2
