2. you get what you pay for. i would never get my swap from anywhere except H Motors online.

 

If you're looking for something cheap try craigslist. But get it very cheap, cause no matter how low someone says the miles are, there is no way to be sure, and I wouldn't trust it. You're best off buying as cheap as you can and rebuilding it. That way you know exactly how many miles you have once you're done with the build.

Cheap is rarely a good thing like built hatch said H-motors online is the only place to get a legit motor with decent mileage.

If you really are looking for a cheap swap, just keep your eyes peeled on local forums, there is always a deal!! Especially if you are patient. I picked up a complete swap from a local member on my car club forum for $1000. He had the sap in his car for a month, drive crazy one month and lost control of his Integra into a curb bending up the frame. I got the complete engine, tranny, wiring, ecu and jumper harness, even a jasma certified header...$1000



For those of you who say, those deals never come up, i bought a full 1997 B18C1 which burned oil and just needed new rings and seals off of a local craigs list....$200

There is always a deal out there if you look hard enough!

 

Holy ****, I would've jumped on that deal quick.

 

I did, i buy deals like them all the time!!! Funny thing about that last deal for the full swap was i sold the header for $250, the tranny for $300, the jumper harness for $100, and the ecu for $200, so i was into my engine for $150 ...and it runs like a charm!

TAG some of your favorite turbo shops forums and keep and eye on their blog they often have summer sales.

LHT last summer had a complete Type R installed for $4500 including auto to manual conversion with gator axles LSD tran and a full tune with Hondata,plus free rental car
