hi all its been awhile
Well start with when the car ran like a champ. was doing 80 mph on the freeway in my stock d15b1 with dpfi and d15b7 head and was crusin along. so after the return trip parked at my girlfriends house for probably over 8 hours. cam back to it started right up, got down the road and the car just falls on its face. while still moving tried starting but letting the clutch out nada.... tried turning the key ...nada only the starter was spinning the motor. listened for the clicks and the fuel pump whine and the check engine light to go out ..it did. turned the key off waited for 10 minutes and she turned over. after waiting for someone to come and follow me in case i officially broke down, was back on my journey. the car ran strong the rpms dived at a couple stop signs but it stayed alive.
The next night i go out to drive the ef to see if its all good. its a little hesitant but drivable then 5 minutes later the car falls on its face again i try starting it the previous ways i tried and listen for clicks all good. still no dice wait 10 minutes and nothing. i come back 2 hrs later nothing
now today i cleaned up some ground connections ( thermostat housing, transmission, ground by the main relay) i had ordered a honda distributor cap and rotor but the cap didn't fit ?wtf? so put the rotor in with my advanced auto cap i was using and cleaned up the contacts in the cap. took out the main relay tested it outside the car and got 3 clicks and tested resistance specified at http://techauto.awardspace.com/mainr...l#Troubleshoot
and then applied some electrical connector grease on everything i could find with a connector in the engine bay and on the main relay.
Drove it around and it didn't fall on its face so took it out at night to see my woman. on the way back and to the higher the rpm my lights would increase and decrease in intensity almost flickering and the engine hit 0 rpm and then came back i dont know whats up and the battery light will also sometimes fade out when it decides to come on and the car has been having hick ups i guess you'd call it when i have the heater off and its at full operating temperature having the heater on helps reduce the hickups
sorry its so long , what do you guys think ?

okay my problem is that the engine hickups or stumbles and it will either fall on its face and come back to life or it will die and i wont be able to restart it unless i let it sit for a certain period of time.
isnt there a safe mode on the cars that will prevent you from starting up after its been on for so damn long?
it happened to me, i would just wait for it to cool down start it and keep driving.
