hey guy thought i would keep you guys up to date with the imports here that ran in joliet , il. RT 66. Very great day first off we have a new king of the hill. Venon motor sports toyota tundra powered by a inline 6 supra motor ran a 6.9 at 195 mph!!! Can you believe it? A naturally appriated civic full tube ran a low 10 (i think best na time too, new world record??)

Brent Rah brought out his "oh so fast" Thermal and ACT RWD 4g63 powered 2nd gen eclipse and ran a 7.9 right off the trailer. Few other good runs. Just wanted to keep ya up to date. Oh they brought the Venon motor sport supra out too ran a 8 flat. = ) . Great times. anyone that was out there we had a great time. Thanks for making it a fun weekend.

yea it was eriks racing. i forgot acctualy it was a 10.2 or 10.3 maybe less thats what i remeber though . .

best time for a NA civic but still not the NA world record in its class. thats still held by jesus padilla with a 10.29 @130mph in woodburn approx a month ago.

also to add, if he was 1609 w/ norris in it, its not a record. 1700lbs is the MINIMUM weight w/driver for the all motor class in NHRA.

That was a BAttle race and I believe there are no weight restrictions at that race.
Pretty good times, but I think it will have to weigh anothet 300 or so lbs in the rest of the racing circuits.

 

10.37@130 backed it with 10.35@129. Car weighed in at 1685 every pass. Check with battle for confirmation. Integra body not civic and back-half not full tube.

 

10.35 Fastest FWD All motor Sport compact. Also 1685 is 85lbs over weight limit for that class Pro Street at battle.

 

WTF kinda intake manifold is that ?!?!

There are 4 santioning bodies, since when does NHRA become the deciding fator ...???? You can ask many of the pro stock competitors & most of them don't like running NHRA because of the 1700 lb weight limit . Ericks motors previous record was done at IDRC (i believe) 10.59. Anyway not trying to start a fight just making a statement, although battle is the MOST lenient in their rules ...
