I recently got my radiator support bent up in a fender bender and pulled the support back out to shape the best I could on my own. One problem I'm having is the AC Bracket (circled in red on picture) no longer fits back on as it should to prevent the AC lines from touching the radiator hose (I assume this is what it does anyway). Is this a problem or can I just leave the AC bracket off? THANKS GUYS!

 

its not necessary, like you said, it just helps support the ac lines......i dont have mine on my wifes accord

 

Thanks slowredsol. I didn't think is was a must to keep it on--thanks for letting me know. I just am a little concerned that the radiator hose gets hot as hell and the AC lines probably get cold (I actually never really touched one when AC was on so I'm just guessing here) and didn't know if this is why the AC bracket was there in the first place to prevent any problems.

 

I would bend the bracket to make it fit.

 

I agree. It's there for a reason. Also it keeps the line from vibrating which could potentially cause a crack at one of the connections later. Also, if it doesn't fit now, your radiator support is still bent out of spec.

 

Yea, it doesnt look hard to bend back into position. Just work at it until it fits.
