Default bout to b18c1 my ride... need some recommendations...

I'm about to drop a b18c1 in my car.. finally... now after it's in.. im lookin to do a lil modification to the motor like the basic bolt-ons... now

1) an arc intake.. worth the money or just get an AEM?
2) what header? jdm Itr?
3) skunk2 ITR? yes or no?

and anything internally what would you suggest, why, and how reliable.

like i stated im just lookin for something w/ some power and fun, maybe get it on a track a couple of times or something fun. but it's just mainly for something fun.

aem

dc 4-1 SS you can find it for 200, well thats how much i got mines for in good condition since the jdm itr probably would cost more, but its up to you

skunk2 IM

and some recommendations..

get a nice set of dual valve springs, ti retainers, chipped ecu and a nice set of ITR cams,ITR t/b,skunk2 cam gears, and then dyno it to get it tuned right..good enough to start you out..

I guess if you like rainbow stickers and shiny metal, go ARC for those JDM brownie points. IMO, go stock airbox with no resonator and a K&N.
2) what header? jdm Itr?
Staying 2" collector? Comptech.
2.5"? Whatever you can afford, and keep in mind you need a 2.5" cat and similar exhaust. I'd go JDM DC SS or SMSP or JGE/IB.

3) skunk2 ITR? yes or no?
not unless you get cams...

internally... rebuild and mid 11s compression. itr cams. leave it alone.

thanks guys.. i've been debating w/ the internal sutff, cause im lookin to keep it as reliable as possible and not have to deal w/ anything in the long run.

a rebuild would be good, but im getting the motor with less than 30k on it.

im thinking i'll do the stock airbox w/ k&n drop in and no resonator, and JDM DC SS. should be fun. appreciate it guys

wehre is the best place to order the header?

forget about the arc box. They suck. I think that is the only mod that costs a **** load and you lose power. Stock box with a k/n will own the arc. Just get the aem cold air.

CAI = Aem, or DC
Headers = DC 4-2-1 2 piece
Exhaust = Apexi WS full cat
