Help: EK civic A/C
Need help from anyone regarding A/C compressor failure to activate upon pushing the A/C button in a 99 Civic EK.
Lately I upgraded my 95 civic to a 99 climate control system. In order to do so, I had to empty the 134a pipeline. Before I charged the system with gas, I did a test by turning on the aircon, but I can't hear any click sound from the compressor. Is this normal when there is no 134a in the system?
There is a sensor along the A/C gas line in the engine bay. Would a failure of this sensor prevent the compressor from starting (low 134a in the pipe line)?
Thanks.

I'm not to sure about your sensor question. What you can do to atleast see if there is power going to the compressor is turn on your AC and test for 12 volts on the wire that goes directly into the compressor.
yep. no 134 means no compressor working. the switch prevents the compressor from being destroyed when theres a leak and no oil/refridgerant in the system. recharge it and it should be fine.
