my car wont idle. as soon as you let go of the throttle at all, it just dies. when i am shifting to a higher gear the rpm's don't go up at all, they just drop right away. because of this i am leading myself to believe its a HUGE vaccuum leak..?

there are some hard lines mounted to the firewall, underneath my intake manifold, and coming out on the passenger side, there is a line that is open. looks as if a vaccuum line could go there, but i don't see any loose vaccuum lines anywhere.

if you guys have any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

oh and if it matters, everything is stock.

 

Start by plugging up that extra bung with your finger and have some one start the car and see if it idles.

Next I would check the IACV, see if its plugged up and clean it.

yeah, i already tried having my friend hold his finger on it..it idled better (didn't just die) but at like 100 rpms.
and i will go check my IACV.

dont know what your mods are but i had similar problem and it was my ecu

 

check the wiring
or maybe u need a valve adjustment thats wat happened to me

c134 IAB red/blue - black
c117 evap yellow/black - red/yellow
c120 IAT green/black - red/yellow
c311 p/s switch - green - black
c116 iacv black/blue - yellow/black
c133 knock sensor - red/blue - blank
