I got a 94 civic coupe and whenever I turn to the right the car makes a cracking sound....Its only one crack sound...sometimes sounds like its creaking....like old wood creaks....some buddies say its the tie rods and the previous owner that I bought it from says Its the bushings....does anybody know what the real cause is.....I don't want to fix one thing and that not b the problem...let me know
If it has a **** ton of miles on it then the bushings are prolly shot. Jack it up and shake it down and you'll be able to tell what it is real fast. I just replaced all 6 of the lower control arm bushings and inner and outer tie rods on both sides. Rock solid now. I have new upper control arm bushings that I'll get around to doing sometime here soon but the ones that are one there are in decent shape so theres no rush and I'll prolly wait to do those until till I replace the arms.
