My car will not start sometimes almost randomly. After turning key in the ignition a few times it will go. I checked the battery for the right voltage and it was good. Then I checked the starter and it seemed to have enough voltage too. I think it might be something with the security of the car malfunctioning since; if the key doesn't have the correct chip in the key it won't start. For the past week the car has started normally so I don't know much else. While starting normally it has a green key on the dash though. I wish I had more details but anything at this point would be useful.

 

Try letting the fuel pump prime a few times before starting. Turn key to on without cranking it and you should hear the pump prime (slight hum from gas tank). turn it back to off and then prime it again. Do this 3 times and then post if it still has trouble starting.
