Does rim size lower or raise the car?
I have a 1990 Honda CRX. Its been lowered 2inches already. I have the stock 13 inch rims on it. I measured and the car sits 8 inches off the ground. I live on a dirt road so clearance is an issue. I have a set of 15 inch rims and tires that i wanna put on it but the concern is; Will they lower or raise my car?
'Rim' (correct term is wheel) size doesn't have anything to do with the cars ride height, the diameter of the tire is what actually effects that. If you're 15" wheels have the correct aspect ratio for the sidewall it shouldn't affect ride height up or down
The tires on there are 22.6 in diameter. the 15's are 24.2. It might raise the car a little if they fit in the wheel wells. check out this site...
