D4 light is on for the first few seconds when key is in II?
This is on a 2000 accord lx 4 cyl automatic 193 000 miles on it (approximately)
I dont know if this is normal or not because this car has been passed down to me, and the d4 light wasnt working so i just switched the light bulbs for 1 to d4. and now its on. but whenever i put the key into II. the d4 light is on for a few seconds then it goes away until i put it into d4. Does this mean that my something is wrong with my tranny. I just noticed this, and I dont have the chance to start the car right now because my family is sleeping but i ll do that tomorrow when i get a chance.
Thanks for the help.

The check engine light goes on for a sec when you start the car. The D4 light is the CEL equivalent for the transmission. If you have a trans problem, D4 will be flashing.
