has anyone removed the liner on the sunroof to fix the rattling? does the liner pull straight down or do you have to do something else to it? I already removed the two screws in front- thanks

 

If I was you I wouldnt mess with the liner, it will leak after you remove and put back on, and thats a fact.

 

no it willnt. u have to take the sunroof totally off. it screws on to the underneith. thats how it is on my 4th gen.

 

thank for the replies - i got the sunroof off and tightened those 4 screws, no more squeaks for now- the only problem is, now the sunroof closes really slow... it opens normally, but is slow as heck when closing.. any suggestions? what kind of grease are you using to lubricate it?

 

maybe the four screws were tightened too much??

can u provide a short lil quick how-to write-up on removing the sunroof etc.
i have a rattle i wanna sort out too. but the sunroof thang is a lil daunting for me.
