I've already pestered the accord guys about my f23 engine, not it time to ask you about an s2k transmission.

From what i hear the s2k engine spins a different direct compared to other honda engines, is this true?

Second, how compatible is the s2k tranny with another f series engine?

Much like the other million threads, the F20/22C transmission is not directly compatible with the F series in Accords and Preludes

With that being said however, the H series and F series (minus the S2000) are compatible with each other.

 

The "F" series engines in S2000's are more like "K" series than anything else honda makes.

honda realistically should have labeled it differently to avoid any confusion with the age old counterclockwise "F" series engines from accords and preludes

The reason I asked is because I bought it off craigslist as a cheap swap engine and now my friends '78 Celica needs a new engine cause the 20r is shot. He planned on swapping the engine anyway so I was hoping to find a rwd transmission that would bolt to this.
