I think thats part of the srs reel, if i remember right from the last install i saw. follow the wire and it will plug into a yellow connector i think . you can disconnect it there.

You have to hook up a shoe horn behind the steering wheel hub. This is available at your local honda dealer. I wish I have the part number here.

IM Mike M or len, they should be able to help you out.

you can buy a shoe horn or make one.
find a flexible 1 1/2 by 1/4 inch condutcing medium (aluminum is easy to bend.)

or have any size aluminum piece that's long enough to touch the back of the itr non-srs steering wheel(remember to put all purpose grease behind the wheel as the aluminum will be touching it.. It's going to bolt up to one of the screw bolt the srs reel bolts too.

Find the horn wire and hook it up to the aluminum piece and bolt it up to one of the scew point(may need to drill a hole.)

i hope that's understandable and have fun.

after you disconnect that srs reel from the Yellow Connector deep under the steering column......u can "hot wire" an electrical wire up from there ( to test if it work....just "touch" the wire into any metal and the honk should sound) pull the wire up to the top of the steering column....connect it with a thin steel wire....use some screw to secure the steel wire on those plastic......then make sure the steel wire will have contact with the bottom of the steering wheel when u put it down.

that's how I did mine...hope it help.

Instead of a shoe horn, which is great if you have one handy, I just used a paperclip. Works great.
