I have a black four door Lx. I hate the look of that chrome grill between the hood and bumper. I noticed that the si's come with it color matched to the car. Can i just take my chrome on off and the black one bolt right on or is there something different about the way it would mount?

Well that didn't work.

I took my car into the body shop. Someone ran into it while it was parked and so i was getting the bumper repainted. The guy told me he would replace the grill with the si one since he needed to take it off anyhow. The said they couldn't get it on because some clips wouldn't slide into place? any one have any ideas?

 

What year is your car? If it is a 2006-2008, did you get an 07 or 08 Si grille? The front end design changed in 2009, so maybe you got the wrong year?

And coupe fits the coupe. Sedans fit sedans.

 

figured out my problem. i just bought the black piece that looks like my chrome piece. Apparently i also needed the si "base".
