I've searched a number of forums and can't seem to find a clear answer about what *colour* the interior trim is of a real, legitimate JDM EK9 CTR. The JDM EPC states "Type A" and "Type D" (both of which are black, I believe), but I have seen some owners and former owners of CTRs state that it's more of a "dark grey".

Anyone here know for sure if the interior is black, a dark grey (think typical "Type K" 6th Gen Civic interior), or somewhere in-between?

 

I don't have access to the EPCs right now but IIRC TYPE D is just one of the varieties of black. For the CTR interior you'd be looking for the Black/Red interior.

If you just want the color of the plastics then that's another code, one of the real color codes (probably starts with NH). TYPE codes are interior color codes, not individual part color codes.

 

That's a good point, though knowing the TYPE code goes a long way towards knowing the colour to expect for the individual plastics. I see here that many interior parts are coded with "NH167L" (= Graphite Black) in the part description (amongst the Japanese gobbledy**** that doesn't display properly on my computer), so that is very helpful. Incidentally, the carpet description is coded with "R105L" - which is no doubt the colour code for the red carpet.

No, that first response doesn't really help much. What might be of assistance is if you could clarify in the title and post that you are referring specifically to the interior colour of a JDM EK9 CTR? Thanks!

 

Okay, I'm looking at it right now and it looks like all the stuff that's black in all 6G Civics is NH1L (so, cupholders, bezels, etc.; the stuff that's even black in a tan interior US Civic sedan).

Then all other interior plastics like the dash and console and door cards are NH167L (Graphite Black). Rear seats are also this color (first time I've noticed fabric having the same code as plastics btw).

Carpet is R105L (Pure Red).

Front seats are R124L (R-Red) (I'd take it to mean Recaro Red).

Headliner and interior plastics from the windows up are NH293L (Seagull Gray) (US Civics are NH220L/Clear Gray).

The black found on US 5G Civic interiors is also NH167L/Graphite Gray. That counts seats, carpet and interior plastics.
