Arospeed Coilovers vs Skunk2 Lowering Springs
Hey guys,
I've been trying to find some technical specs on the Arospeed coilovers for Honda Civics online with no luck so far. Can anyone tell me what's the spring rate etc for these as well as for the Skunk2 Lowering Springs.
I currently am riding on Skunk2 Lowering springs with KYB Silver Shocks on my 2000 Civic Si but a friend of mine wants to trade for a set of the coilovers. Do you think this is a good trade? How do they ride in comparison from your experience?
Any help would be great.
Thanks, Esco

I have never even heard of those things, i would just grab some skunk2/illunia or koni shocks keep the springs.
Are they one peices or slip ons?
Reyracer19, you have had the arospeed coilovers?

I have ran these years ago. I'm pretty sure the spring rates are really high like 500 plus front and rear. I did have these paired with KYB AGX and they actually did well until I sold the car 3 years later.

x2. Do it right or do it twice. Don't put **** parts on your car just for the sake of having mods.
Especially when it comes to tires, suspension, brakes, and safety equipment.

Some of you guys are ridiculous. Have all of you guys driven with Arospeed coilovers?????
So damn quick to judge a specific type of coilover to be shitty if its not ground control..
I had arospeed coilovers on my 98 civic lx for 9 years without an issue. NO sagging, broken coils or split/damage sleeves... The oem shocks I had blew obviously, but after I installed my KYB adjustable shocks they were a great ride. When i got my car street tuned my tuner really liked the ride considering the spring rate and I have never had a complaint from any friend. I cruised around all the time with no bounce or noise. And its funny to read some people buy $350 coilovers and come on here and complain about all kinds of suspension noise...
The spring rates were 450 front and 350 rear.. If someone were to ask me I would definately recommend them... Expensive doesnt always mean the best.

Like the poster above said, the knowledge base has come a lonnng way.
I never preached Ground Control, but stick with Eibach, H&R, Hyperco when it comes to springs.
Search around and find out.
