i dont know yet, like i said im rebuilding it right now...i dont even know if my goal is reasonable, bu i think it should be possible, at least 420whp.

my mods are: 93 block, sleeved, je 10:1, je rings, eagle rods, fully cleaned up and balanced bottom end. oversized exhaust valves, all new springs&retainers, cam gears, 3 angle valves job, maybe slight pnp. new manifold and turbo cams when proven to be good. a big turbo, that spools quick, havent figured that one out yet, and currently working on a way to get a zdyn secu standalone to work on obdI system. oh yea and some n20 on top of it, which should spool that bad boy up.

-Vinny

btw- are you the same cottonwoodz from hp.com?

a big turbo that spools wuick huh..... let me know when you find one.

the best way to make a big turbo spool up quicker is with a really good valve train and a small shot of nitrous

so its your syncros that go bad? man your syncros have practically nothing to do with the power handeling capability of your transmission. the quickest way to burn up a syncro is to skip gears or force it into gear when it obviously doesn't want to go. my advice is to learn how to drive more, ummm, hospitably (sp).

For your synchro's, don't drive hard all the time, or learn how to double-clutch.

For the rest, in an extreme application you might try cryo-treating things.

well it was kind of 2 questions in one. i drive hard all the time, its just the way it is. i know how to drive. will the rest of the tranny hold? where would i inquire abot cryo-treating things? can i have that done to the syncros?

cryo treat everything.... and yes, take care of your trannies and your sycro's will last..

Corey - who doesn't eat up syncro's on his racecar, that shifts 20+ times a lap...

no, you can't have your syncros chryo treated. they are meant to wear and absorb energy in the form of torque. ir you chryo treated them they would become very brittle along with becoming stronger and consequently would not generate as much friction and you would probably start to grind on your shifts. not to mention that material is not the right carbon content to have treated, funky things would happen. besides the trannies are usually thought to be fairly bullet proof, the first thing to have a legit complaint about is usually the shift arms inside the tranny, but yours seem to be fine.

do they make heavy duty sycrno's or do i just have to watch how i shift to make them last?... and who actually double clutchs anyway....

oh ya i know what my prob was.."Granny shifting, not double clutching like your supposed to"......hahaha i couldnt resist...damn that movie was such a disappointment, i was act. excited that there was a movie about imports, now i wish it was never made....btw-they are trying to make a f&f-2, but vin deisal turned it down.

HAHA, yeap, but i head it was going to be about real racing, roadracing... But really, double clutch is for either slow upshifts into gears with bad syncro's (like going into 5th on preludes) or downshifting...

Just dont' force your car into gear, you should be ok..

What about skipping gears? When I upshif, I always go in order from 1st, but when downshifting sometimes I go from 5th to 3rd, or 4th to 2nd, but never into 1st unless I'm at 5mph or less, is skipping gears when downshifting a bad habbit?
