the GOVERMENT is paying for my smog :)
so i took my bard eg to smog and failed they said i need a new O2 and a new cat and its going to cost me 551.95 i was like FAWK then she said you should try to get failed smog assistanse WWW.SMOGCHECK.CA.GOV so i applied it took about 2 to 3 weeks and got a letter in the mail that said they would pay for it they gave me a 500 dollar certificate to take to get my car smogged needless to say im pretty happy right now haha

That $500 is only good at a "Gold Shield Station" and they will want to perform diagnostic's
Guess how much the diag's going cost? If it is like around my area it is going to be 3 bill's+.
Then you will have 2 for parts, and you will have to pay for the rest of it!
Hopefully it is only the 02 sensor.

PS: This is called the consumer's assistance program (CAP). If you are "Test Only Directed" you are pre qualified for this too. But there are alway's exemptions, like Ferrari's and such!
