Default Fixed noisy HFP front suspension!

I was finally able to stop the noise that came from my HFP front suspension set -up.
It occured at low speeds and was very annoying. I replaced the bump stops and front steering bearings. I believe there was a notice to dealers about this and the new bump stops were actually redesigned by Honda. I hope this may help someone else!

Sweet. I will definitely look into this. Do you have documentation from Honda about this that I could present to a local dealer?

I will check with my mechanic and get back to you. The cost for parts is below:

-HON/51726-SNA -G01 - HONDA STEERING BEARING - $45.80 - X2 - $91.60

-HON/51722-SVA-A03 - HONDA BUMP STOP - $7.45 - X2 - $14.90

My HFP suspension fell out of warranty or it would of been covered.

K5: I spoke to my mechanic and found this out.

There was a technical bullitin from Honda stating that the Steering Gear Mounting bolts should be re-torqued.

We were told by a Honda service writer that we should also replace the bump stops and
steering bearing as this was what he was seeing that caused the noise.

We also found that the subframe bolts were loose.

Hope this helps!

I installed the HFP suspension with a friend of mine. I know dealers will always try to screw you over and say that you didn't get it installed by their technicians and refuse to replace anything. Would this be an issue?

I don't believe so. My mechanic and myself have known this particular service writer
for years and he's been a big help. My car is now noise free after the repairs, much to my relief. I just wish this had occured prior to my warrenty lasping.

I forgot to mention that the new bump stops have been redesigned as compared to the originals.
