How do you know it's the axle rubbing, if you don't know where?

i have a feeling its rubbing on the fork that connects my strut to my front lower control arm and i know its not the tire due to no damage on either tire and they have 2-3inches of clearance on the sides.

Put something on the fork light paint or something, go for a drive.
And then check it out. See if its been rubbed off onto the boot.

Just because you have a feeling doesn't mean that is the problem. You say your tires have 2 inches of clearance...that's at ride height. How much clearance do you have when the suspension is compressed? Instead of paint, use chalk to mark different areas. It'll transfer much easier than paint.
