axle and clutch cable problems
ok so i have 2 problems today. First off everywhere i read says to use the stock clutch cable on my 89 crx b16a and its too short by abourt 2-3 inchs. the second problem is i got some axles from a friend and he said they were from a 93 integra, well turns out they are from a 94 i know the drivers wont work but i called the local parts place said 93 and 94 are the same. the problem is when i put the axle in and tighten it all up, it wont turn then i losen it and it turns fine. so either i have the wrong axle, or i dunno any advice?
the cable is short but it works fine. all you have to do is take off the metal bracket on the transmission, where the cable goes. then hook it up to the shift lever on the trans and re-bolt the bracket back on and adjust cable. make sure the cable nut is all the way up, then take off bracket.
you have to remove the dust rings from the axles and from the hubs. if that doesnt work then make sure, since you are using integra axles, that you have an integra intermediate shaft.
ok so i removed the ring off the axle not the knuckle and that seemed to work. And as far as the clutch cable, i did try to remove the bracket and i still cant get it, its just too short. the crx is a dx i dunno if that matters. Im going to play with it a little more when i get off work today.
