Radio won't turn on, amps won't turn off
Tried posting in another board, no help tho.
only thing i did to the car was change the oil, then as i was letting it warm up to check the level, i decided to turn the radio. i switched from aux to tuner, my subs popped a bit and my hu turned off.. now my radio won't turn on and my amps wont turn off, even if the key is out..
i checked my radio fuse, and the fuse in the back of my radio.. i dont know what happened!! any insight?

it WAS a pioneer deh-4000ub.. i just bought a new radio though, its a pioneer deh-3200ub.. i had the harness out of the radio for way longer than 30 seconds and nothing seemed to help.. i'm just taking the harness apart and putting the new one in with the new radio and seeing if it solves anything.. i'll have to do it tomorrow since it's dark out now
Check the loom behind the HU make sure you didn't short any wires. If your amps are on all the time it sounds like
A) your head unit it busted
B) you wired up the remote turn on lead to the wrong wire
If you heard a "pop" from the subs, did you also hear one from the speakers? I'm guessing a transistor went south in your HU. Try connecting a new one and see where that takes you.
Cheers,
anthony
