Default What brake pad/rotor setup are you using???

To give you some background, I'm looking to buy a pad/rotor setup for an 06 civic sedan. The car will be used for daily driving but I would like to step up the braking ability from stock. I was all in to get the EBC "USR Series Sport Slotted Rotors" and some "green stuff" pads but now I'm hearing it can be a crappy pad and/or rotor after doing research online. I saw people talking about and liking hawk and mintex stuff but there were also people who hated those setups. Not sure what direction to go and wanted to hear what people on here are using and what they like or hate about it. Thanks

I just changed my pads and rotors for the first time, not too long ago ('06 LX Coupe, 80K), use it as my DD. My setup:

Brembo blanks ($100 total) http://www.importrp.com/product.php?...&cat=38&page=1

Monroe ceramic pads ($20 after rebate). http://www.amazon.com/Monroe-CX465-C...9007525&sr=8-1

how did the Monroe ceramic pads work out? Saw them on amazon, am considering. I'm not happy with the stuff I'm buying @ Autozone/Orilley, and their prices for ceramic pads are really inflated compared to Amazon's.

Were the Monroe's pads for the Front? or Rear? Did you install the Brembo Rotor?

I have about 2k miles on it now, not sure if it's still new, but the brake dust is horrible. I It's worst than OEM. I was expecting better from ceramics.

And the rust on the Brembo sucks! Not on the disc itself, but on the hubs. I've never seen that happen on my original rotors.

If I had to do it all over again, I would go all OEM. Or OEM rotor, Hawk pads.
