new tranmission car won't start?
The new auto transmission is in, fluid is in, everything is plugged in, but the car won't start. It clicks as if the battery were dead, but just one click then nothing. All lights turn on, everything is getting power, we just haven't checked if the sparkplugs are working but I don't see why they wouldn't. We tried jumping the car since it had been sitting and nothing.
Additionally, once the car clicks the d4 light start flashing.
How many plugs are there that can be crossed? We over looked everything and we think it's all in place, we ran out of daylight so next time we are going over everything again to be sure.
Any insight would be great. Thanks!
it's a 97 lx btw

the engine should turnover/start no matter what's up with the trans (short of it being siezed up). I would check/clean the connections on the starter, lightly tap the starter, clean the battery connections, and make sure you have at least 12 volts on the battery. if you jumped the car with no luck, you may be having starter issues just from handling it. Sometimes things go bad by just removing them to do another job completely unrelated. It's happened to me before.
i have something similar happening to me,i mean mine will start but it takes it a couple tries and if i try to many times the d4 light will start flashing and so i turn all the power off and try again until mine cranks,i wonder why that light flashes???Good luck on fixing ur accord tho, wish i had more to put in on the thread, ill ask around tho
