OBX intake manifold...HELP!!!
ok im new to here and i just purchased a obx racing intake manifold and i want to put it on my 95 accord,F22 B1,The only problem i have is that on the other side of the throttle body there are no bolt holes for that pice that has about four little hoses running to it and on the side facing the fire wall there is not a place to put the idler control valve,does nebody know what to do,ive tried describing this the best i can and for some reason i cant load the pic of the intake up so all info is appreciated and if u can def help message me and ill give u my number and i can sedn u a pic of the intake...
Someone please help,i know someone on here has to know about this,im not the only one that has ever bought one of these for this car am i?help,thanks
I installed one on an H22. It sucked! It didnt even bolt up! I had to grind away on one of the corners of the manifold flange. I used a modified throttle body from an 03 Odyssey. You can tap the plenum for the throttle bracket bolts. As far as vacuum hoses are concerned, you DONT have to put them back in the exact place. Youre OK as long as they are getting manifold vacuum. Performance shops carry manifold vacuum block kits and screw-in hose nipples for vacuum. You need a dedicated hose for the PCV valve and brake booster. Dont tee them together, your brakes will be stiff. I made an IAC plate for the IAC valve. I ran one hose to manifold vacuum and the other to an air cleaner hose nipple. You may also be able to just not hook up the IAC valve. Bolt it down and leave the connector attached so the check engine light stays off. Same with the EGR valve. Leave all the hoses and connector attached and just bolt it down somewhere. There is a disclaimer for the OBX manifold "DRAG RACING USE ONLY". But with some creativity, It'll work and look damn good! GOOD LUCK.

bc i dont understand some of the things ur described,do u know what the intake looks like for mine?you told me:"you DONT have to put them back in the exact place. Youre OK as long as they are getting manifold vacuum."only problem is is there isnt a spot for them to go on the opposite side of the obx intake like there is on the stock one.The only holes this things has is for the throttle body and there is 4 threaded holes facing the fire wall,one being for the brake booster,another is for a sensor below the brake booster;im not trying to bug anyone but isnt this why they made the forums,to get help,i do work on my own cars but i havnt ran into anything like this before.All help is appreciated.If anyone wants pics of this intake mani,pm me and give me ur cell number and ill shoot em over and maybe we can figure something out,thanks.
Sounds like this manifold doesn't allow for use of the intake air bypass valve or the fast idle thermal valve. If that is the case there are a few things you can do.
The fast idle thermal valve is not a PGM-FI actuated device. If the OBX manifold does not have provisions for the FIT valve then you can remove it and plug the coolant lines.
Now for the IACV there are a couple things you can do. If you have a tunable engine control unit (chipped ECU or stand alone engine management system) you can disable the IACV with the tuning software. Then you can remove the IAC valve from the engine completely. Make sure to plug up any coolant hoses. If you don't have a tunable ECU leave the IAC plugged into the wiring connector, remove the vacuum lines and tie the IAC valve up out of the way. This way the ECU will think it is still working even though it's not doing anything.
Without having a place to mount the IAC or FIT valves to the manifold. Your on your own as to finding a way to make them functional. I don't think they make a remote adapter plates to connect hoses to the air inlet and outlet of the IACV or FIT valves. If they do, or you can fabricate some yourself, then there might be a way to connect the valves to a fresh air source and then to one of the vacuum ports on the manifold.

HA HA! I made one too! I found out about this afterwards. A co-worker of mine installed a Jackson supercharger on his H22 Civic. The plate came in the kit. Replacement parts are available through Jackson Racing. Try contacting Jackson Racing.
Got it!
988-056 IAC BRACKET ASSEMBLY includes;
2x 051-119 BOLT, HEX FLANGE M6-1.0 X 10
1x 051-364 PLUG, PIPE, 1/4 NPT
1x 051-610 BRACKET, IAC MOUNT
1x 051-621 BRACKET, THROTTLE CABLE
2x 051-819 HOSE BARB, 1/4 NPT X 3/8
that takes care of the IAC, now how about the FITV. Weird that there isn't anything in the JR S/C parts list for it.

Thanks for the extra effort. I sent that to the printer. Im pretty sure on the H22s, the FITV is bolted to the underside of the throttle body. Hey! The OP could use an H22 throttle body to take care of that particular concern.
