Hello wonderful Honda people, I need help. The front brakes of my EF hatch keep locking up. The front driver side is the only one that does it though. I have changed the brake pads numerous times. I also thought maybe the caliper was bad so i got a new one and it's still doing it. I wrecked the stock rotors from it grinding so much so i got some Bembo slotted rotors and i don't want them to get messed up like the stock ones. I dont know why it keeps locking up but it's extremely annoying. it only does it during the day when it's hot and i live in southern New Mexico so thats like all the time. please help. any one??

 

Im not sure maybe you should check your brake master cylinder, i heard it has something to do with the locking up.

My cousin had the same issue with a '90 da. We bleed the system a few times, swapped parts off of his '92 DA, same issue. I reviewed everything that was done........EXCEPT for replacing the brakelines.....

That was the issue.....

After time, if the brake fluid is not serviced normally, conditions can cause the brake hoses to swell, internally. Or, the old fluid turn into jelly, then hardends...yuck. The hoses may look fine from the outside, but cut it open....you'll see the difference....

 

i have the same problem, i turn my car off pump the brake pedal til its hard and turn the car on then the brake pedal goes down and calipers open. lol ghetto status but idk what the problem is so i dont want to keep wastin money it also got my engine to overheat now due to the brakes locking kept overstressin the engine
