Just wanna say josh nice running once again good job...Maybe next event I wont break a axle first round of qualifying....How do you break a axle in third gear...I'm a idiot
yes deff had a good day...didnt break anything and had consistant 146mph passes..im hoping for a 9 sec pass as soon as it gets a bit cooler.. BIG UP to Armando for all the help and knowledge with out him and my crew i wouldnt have this car out this year....as soon as he dials in all the little issues hes having, that car is going to be flying...and it looks so damn sexy!!!!
how did you break an axle..? my last pass i had some nasty wheel hop out of first into second, scared the **** out of me..i thought i broke an axle....so i just coasted it.

We installed a new twin disk clutch and launched under 12lbs held shifted to second held then slammed 3 and passenger side axle let go...Thinking it cracked on launch but didnt give way till 3rd they were gator axles we had been using for a couple years but not its time to upgrade and go bigger where still trying to get it dialed in and have just been having a hell of a time with it setup I hope we can do mid ten on shitty setup we ran 11.00 at 132 so who knows
Are you guys using gear dependant boost for your setups? If so I would like to hear your thoughts on it.

Thanks dude....I'm hoping once you get your new axles in that we can dial that car in and get your *** into the 10s where you belong.
It will happend hopefully and when it does I might feel obligated to throw a party...its been such a nitemare trying to get it into tens but where down to the weakest link in the car so we should be able to do it next event. Thank to Mike and Tim from king for coming out and helping us with it also you guys are awesome.
I'm on stock oem axles and haven't had any issues with them an I launch at 6500 at about 20psi...are you preloading? And I'm using a manual boost controller set to 25psi I have aem ems but the car is doing good on the manual that I haven't had the urge to setup the boost by gear...
Im preloading the clutch for sure haven't broken one in about 3 years I just think with a matter of the new clutch new slicks high hp they just finally went I'm not to worried about it seeing as we plan to go bigger anyways it was just weird it let go in third but I was full throttle shifting it also
yea e brake off launch it has been a nitemare trying to get this thing into tens last event we hit boost cut every run in the top of third are mph are there though are best was a 136
flatblkhatch....I better see 10's this time around. Lets try to set up runs at route 66 or greatlakes before the next import wars.
I'm planing to go to Byron or 66 later this month..maybe we can meet up somewhere and cruise up...me or armondo might be able to help out...trying to get a couple 450whp + cars up there...
Hi...To all, gear based boost is great once all the variables are pulled out of the equation ie:parts breaking, tuning, new clutch, Tires and driver seat time... once a month at the track does not cut it. Dialing in the car is very difficult to say the least. To Ill Garage nice job!!! you guys are very close to bringing down the house with solid 9 sec runs...Hats off.
Josh T with the hatch.... good running and very consistent. Nice meeting and talking with you and your dad.We need to make a day at Joliet with the guys from Illinois at test and tune. Then everyone will see how a track is supposed to hook........From the Old man that owns the black Civic Si

I haven't decided on what my next best option would be. I am at 450 hp on 16 psi pump gas. Best pass so far is an 11.28 @131. That is with a 1.7 60 fter. You guys think that with a race gas tune on 20 psi I should be able to nail a 10 second pass? I am using a SC61 Turbo with a fully built and sleeved GSR motor.
I agree lets get some wheel time set up a date for 66 any weekend other than the 31st of july im in for lets get a group to go up and have fun with it.
