99 Accord - Check Engine Light
I've had my Accord for over 8 years now and maintain it very regularly. I just recently hit 160K miles on it. About 2-3 years ago i had a cadilic converter replaced (costing me close to $900) and since then my Check Engine Light has not come on, until yesterday.
Ive noticed my car is driving a little differently, almost as if there is a strain on it. This morning i was driving to work and as i was decending the freeway on ramp, i reached 40-50 mph and then my car started to shake then stop then shake again (off and on repreatidly), i pulled over and let the other cars pass and continued slowly the rest of the drive and made it ok. Its like i was trying to go faster but my rpm's wouldnt co-operate. As soon as i took my foot off the gas and began to slow down the shaking/vibrating stopped. I then noticed that once my car was in park, it would vibrate or shake a little (mostly the front) until i turned it off.
I'm not the best when it comes to this stuff and have been told by SO many people that it would be a number of different things. I checked the gas cap too! Does anyone have the slightest inclination as to what this could be? Or does anyone know of a way to find out the error code for the CEL without me paying for it?
Any and all info is GREATLY appreciated!

You can buy a code reader from Napa, Autozone etc for under a hundred bucks. Use it when your check engine light comes on and it'll pay for itself.
As for the original question, I would start by retrieving the code. That will help your diagnostic efforts and save you a lot of time.
