AC compressor question
Im about to take my compressor off and just put a new one on. i just had my ac redone. They took it out and put new stuff in it. If i take the compressor of im assuming freon is going to come out of the 2 lines? liquid or gas?
After i get the new one in i have to get the lines sucked back out and then refilled right?
Thanks just wanted to know before i started it.

The system needs to be evacuated first before you remove anything. When reloading 134a, the correct amount of oil needs to be in the system. Remember, that new compressor will definately need that oil....
okay so i cant get a warrenty on a compressor at autozone or discount because i have to do the dryer and expansion valve new by them and ive already had the expansion valve done by a mechanic so im not gunna buy the part again..?
So i think im going to go try and find a clutch at a junkyard because thats hopefully all i will need sence all my compressor has done was froze up and the pully wont move.

the pulley should move even if the clutch is locked up, it would just mean you would be unable to turn your a/c off. what you're describing sounds like the compressor has failed internally. i could be wrong, but maybe someone else can clarify.
I looked at some under the hood. seemed alright. ill double check again if thats what your talking about.
And i was at discount and some guy came i met there said he had a used one. said he would put it in and everything for 100 bucks. seems legit. maybe to cheap.
