Hey guys I just made my grill and tried something different. Tell me what you all think. I used gutter mesh at home depot for about $10. Cut my fingers a few times. It was pretty deep cuts. If anyone is going to do this mod be very very careful.

All I did was follow instructions on a HT post and used sealant for the emblem. Its pretty simple. Just take 30 mins of your time.

 

Pretty nice. I think a black badge would look sweet too...

Thats AWESOME! Make a tech article totally specific to what you did step by step... it looks great and clean

 

That looks almost exactly like mine!!! I got the whole grille done for about 2 dollars and a couple of poked fingers. Well I'm not tryin 2 steal this guys tech article, but here we go ;P... First you need to take off your bumper so that you can get the grille out (the whole peice hes showing us. There are a couple of screws on the bottom that hold it to the bumper cover. Then take off the trim ring and cut out all of the plastic in the middle. Set the mesh down on the empty hole and use wire cutters (i used hedge trimmers) to cut it to the shape you want. Your probobally going to have to retrim it a couple of times, but once it's close you can use the screws that hold the trim ring on to hold it in place (screw through the holes in the mesh)! If anybody has ?s pm me!

haha i think thats goin a little 2 far...but it really looks great....i got a grill i have to put in just haven't taken the time to take the front bumper off.

 

expected some lame cheap mod, but you certainly suprised me. kickass man!
