pretty much anything under 17" and a tire size over 215 if you can't get a slick on the street.

Check out a few cars that are sharing the same purpose as you, and look from that point. There is no "best". only "Best for you". we don't know you, so you'll need to be as specific as possible.

What size tires should I get?

The proper size depends on your car, not just the wheels you are using. So if you want to ask what size you should get, let us know what kind of car you have (year, model, body style, version)!

For a CRX, del sol, del sol Si, or pre-'96 Civic, the following sizes are usually best:

13" - 175/70-13
14" - 185/60-14, 195/55-14
15" - 195/50-15
16" - 205/40-16, 195/45-16
These are the stickiest street tires you can get in those sizes, and recommended rim widths:

185/60-14 on 14x6 rims - Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec

195/50-15 on 15x6, 15x6.5, or 15x7 rims - Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec, Bridgestone Potenza RE-11, Toyo Proxes R1R

205/40-16 on 16x7 rims - Falken Azenis RT-615K

Don't get anything other than these tires in these sizes.

Personally, I would recommend the 15" sizes, for a couple of reasons. Tire availability is less of a problem (as you can see). And you can find a lot of used Integra GS-R 15x6 rims (fat fives, blades, etc) for very reasonable prices.
