is it ok to use stock itr retainers with aftermarket valve springs when running sstage 2 cams? i have a usdm itr swap with 2 layer oem headgasket but other wise stock with bolt ons. im looking at running buddy club spec 4 cams and either buddy club springs or supertech springs but use my stock itr retainers as my car is still my daily and i dont wanna have to worry bout ti retainers wearing and cracking as fast. is this ok run this setup?

didnt know k series retainers were a simple swap and go mod. i do already have my stock itr retainers. what is the "pros and cons" of k series retainers in a b series? is it as simple as swap and go or is there some modding to make work?

yup already the itr retainers. i think im going to drop to the buddy club spec3+ cams instead of the spec 4 for my itr swap. i been told that i can use my stock itr valve train with them but i plan to rev it out 8500. should i still invest in valve springs?

If you have to go over 8500-9000 rpms stock retainers will break..
retainers are cheap, upgrade em, preferably with the same brand as the spring you have.

max i plan to spin it to 8500 rpm
says the dude i have personally seen blow up more motors then i have owned lol nah what up jay where you been hiding. but i plan on taking mine to 8400 max not sure if my tuner 2 will make much more power past that
I recommend valvetrain on any setup including stock. It'll save your motor from over revving during a mis-shift. which is never planned.
